Phillip M. Spitters or simply Phil, is a Southern California artist/writer/musician that has recently been catching the ears of more than just his buddies. Phil is no stranger to storytelling or painting a vivid picture with words as his background as a writer and comedian is what eventually led him to put more time into making music. What was once a fun side project amoungst friends slowly developed into a serious sound and coming from a not so serious approach that hip hop heads realized was more than just an extended stand-up comedy set. Phillip keeps his rhymes light hearted and fun the way he describes, "hip-hop music is suppose to be." With fellow musician/producer Jonathan Gazvoda, Phil has been able to put together tracks to appease either the stoner, the drunken party rocker, the indie hipster, and the infamous overly-judgemental hip-hop head. His first project "Hi I'm Phil...this is my mixtape." is scheduled to drop in January of 2013.

I recently shot a music video for the first single from his mix-tape, "Laughin At You". The video was directed by a colleague of mine, Claude Bragg, and it was shot in a studio in Glendale. The shoot went smooth and everyone had a good time on set. I was the Producer, 1st AD and DP of this video. The concept was really simple and fun.
