SHORT FILM:: "JACKS" Our Darling, Little, Leading Ladies

Sonia & Theresa takes us on a journey back to Texas, post Great Depression!

Set in the early 1950s, this short film is a true story of how young Sonia learns a tough lesson of how to stand up to a neighborhood bully who keeps stealing her toy Jacks.

This film was written and directed by Chloe Mondesir who hails from the great state of Texas and is currently living in Los Angeles, CA, a Public Figure pursuing a career as an, Actress, Writer/Producer/Director.  She brings a personal touch with her inaugural film project by sharing this true tale of just one of her grandmother's many struggles growing up in rural Texas after the Great Depression. This short film is a passion project that expresses her desire to explore real stories that her audience can relate to, learn from, and be entertained.

Introducing Nylah Mondesir as SONIA, our young protagonist who learns a hard lesson about standing up to bullies during a time when the economy was healing from a recent financial crisis. She's our adorably talented leading lady who will be sure to capture your heart from the big screen!

Nylah has appeared in several commercial, film, and television productions. You have seen her in commercials for Jeep, featured on CBS’s The Neighborhood, and the music video for Grammy Award winning artist Pharrell Williams’ hit song “Happy”, just to name a few. Nylah trained with the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company and starred in their Neighborhood Voices stage play, "The Tale of the Mysterious Switch". A native of Texas, Nylah now lives in sunny Los Angeles, California.

Supporting Nylah on the screen is the wonderfully talented Skylar Dominque, portraying THERESA, the sassy antagonist who keeps taking things that don't belong to her.  Coming from a broken home with an abusive mother, can you blame her?  Skylar will charm the audience with her performance just as she charmed us with her talent!

Ten year old Actress, Singer, Dancer and Model, Skylar figured out at the tender age of five years old, what it was she wanted to do, making her debut as a runway model at the True Religion Fashion Show in Las Vegas. She has been blessed to appear in print campaigns across the nation such as Children’s Place, JC Penney and Macy’s to name a few. She has starred in numerous short/feature films, internet commercials, and music videos with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Andra Day, Common, Ty Dolla Sign, Slushii and the British Band Oh Wonder. Skylar lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and works professionally in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, California.
